Our Process
HOW OUR ESTIMATING SERVICES WORK
Our estimating process is designed to make it easy for public adjusters, contractors, restoration companies, and attorneys to obtain accurate property loss estimates.
Assignments can be submitted quickly through our online portal, and estimates are prepared using industry-standard estimating platforms including Xactimate and Symbility.
Most projects can be completed remotely using property documentation provided by the client, while on-site property documentation and scoping services are also available in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout Northern California, including the Central Valley.
Our 5 Step Process
01.
Submit Assignment
Clients begin by submitting an assignment through our online submission portal.
The submission form allows clients to provide basic claim information and upload documentation related to the loss.
Information typically submitted includes:
• Property address
• Claim number
• Insurance carrier
• Contact information
• Photographs of the damage
• Inspection reports or contractor scopes
• Engineering reports or other supporting documentation
Once submitted, the documentation is reviewed to determine the scope of work required for the estimate.
02.
Documentation Review & Scope Development
After the assignment is received, we review the available documentation to determine the scope of property damage and required repairs.
This process may include reviewing:
• Photographs and property documentation
• Contractor scopes or inspection reports
• Engineering reports
• Moisture reports or mitigation documentation
• 3D property scans such as DocuSketch or Matterport
The goal of this step is to organize the information into a clear scope of work that supports accurate estimate preparation.
03.
Estimate Preparation
Once the scope of work has been established, the estimate is prepared using the appropriate estimating platform.
Depending on the claim requirements, estimates may be prepared using:
• Xactimate
• Symbility
Estimates are prepared using industry-standard pricing databases and include detailed line items, scope descriptions, and documentation designed to support claim review and negotiation.
04.
Quality Review
Before delivery, the estimate is reviewed to ensure the scope of work, line items, and documentation accurately reflect the available information about the loss.
This review process helps ensure the estimate is organized clearly and supports the claim documentation provided.
05.
Estimate Delivery
Completed estimates are delivered electronically to the client.
Clients receive the estimate file along with any supporting documentation used during the preparation process.
The estimate can then be submitted to the insurance carrier or used as part of the claim review process.
Remote Estimating Services
Many projects can be completed entirely through remote estimating.
Clients can submit photographs, reports, and property documentation through the assignment portal, allowing the estimate to be prepared without requiring a site visit.
Remote estimating services are available nationwide.
